Story:
A millennium has passed since the stronger Mageslayer clans betrayed Lord Thane and the Clan of Knowledge. Now Lord Thane is ready to take revenge on the clans that refused to help him against the mages. He's gathered the relics of the StarStone and placed them under the protection of his minions. But his enemies have joined forces and sent the best warrior of each of the four remaining clans to fight back. In this top-down 3D action game you play the role of any of the warriors chosen among the remaining clans.

Better than Gauntlet Slayer Edition. The Hexen music and sounds gives it atmosphere and the warping wall textures gives it charm. The story is kill everything that moves. Best story ever told.

I don't remember much but for sure it was quite fun to play after bloody hell Doom and Quake. When I was a child I didn't know how popular these game are but I played them all, all 3 of them were equally good for me.

I feel like this is a no-brainer. This is the fantasy equivalent of Take No Prisoners, which already is on GOG, and both were part of my first experiences with fun, gory action as a kid. This is the definition of a good old game to me, and very much essential. I was actually surprised that it wasn't here already! Could then also easily be on offer as a two-pack as well, since they're already sibiling games. Classic, classic, classic.

There was something so classic and magical about this era. It felt like such a golden age for video games and creativity. Sometimes even just hearing the music from the startup screen brings you back to that time. This one I remember dazzled me. What creatures lurk within this next level? Oh, so much fun. I hope we can play this one again.

This game showed how even a FPS engine can be turned on its toes and become something else entirely. The game itself looks and plays like a faster and more brutal Gauntlet. We were taking turns playing this MageSlayer with my brother back in the day till we die in some elevator or a corner crowded with enemies. The character abilities and sound effects were so gritty and tangible (probably thanks to the modified Quake II engine it uses); there is still no equivalent to the hit sense of that Lord character's thrown hammer ability. Cute square blood droplets everywhere, always a joy. :D

It was one of the my first PC games back in 1998 was fun back then, but the game don't work well anymore so we need it on gog to be setup again. Its an old-school classic that needs the Gog-update. Its one of the few Raven software games that is not easy to get hold onto anymore.

I remember playing this game with my brother in the 90s even before i start playing well, i was asking him to play with a certain character and i would watch,since i was too young to progress far enough.

I had this in a physical CD. It's a wonderful long adventure that I'm still missing to complete with some characters. I haven't seen another dungeon crawling game with such good gameplay. You can choose between characters having different skills, which suits different playing styles.

It's kind of unthinkable that this game is nowhere to be found on the digital market. Very hard to run it on a Windows 11 as well, so it would be great if it becomes available with some sort of modification, so we can enjoy this old gem on our new machines :)
